House Study of something
Ecology:
Ecology means the study of relationship between living organisms and their own environment where they live and the interaction of organisms with each other in nature is called ecology.
Father of modern Ecology: Eugene P. Odum.
Father of Indian Ecology: Ramdeo Mishra.
Level of organisation
Individual - Population- Community- Ecosystem- Landscape- Biome- Biosphere.
Individual: level of organisation starts with individual and then it more complex with population and community. Individual is single organism of any species which is the basic unit of a population.
Suppose 10 tigers, 8 lions, 20 deers are live in a Jungle. Here, single Tiger or Lion or deer is a individual of its Population.
Population: Population is the group of individual of the same species in a specific area or environment.
Suppose, 100 Rohu fishes are live in a water ecosystem. Here, Rohu fishes are formed Rohu Similarly 30 frogs maked it's population remain in same water ecosystem. More than one Species Population can be stay in one Ecosystem.
Frog, Zooplankton, algae, and other fish populations can be remain in this ecosystem.
Community:. Community can be defined as a group of or association of populations of two or more different species which are remain same region at the same time.
Subdivisions of Ecology:
Ecology divided into two major subdivisions as
1. Autecology (G.k., autos= Self )
2. Synecology ( G.k., syn = together )
1. Autecology (G.k., autos= Self ) or
Population ecology
Autecology deals with the study of individual oragnism or individual species or Population with his every stage of development and its environment is known as Autecology.
It also reffered as Population ecology.
2. Synecology ( G.k., syn = together )
It can be defined as the study of relationships between two or more different types of species or Populations which are associated together as a unit to form of a community.
Synecology includes with composition, organisation, and development of communities and their environment where they are live.
Synecology also known as Community Ecology.
How you differ Synecology from Autecology?
Autecology. Synecology
Organism based. Habitat based
Known as known as
Population ecology. Community Ecology.
